Authenticating with La Salle University...

The Explorer Connection

The Explorer Connection promotes programs that engage the La Salle community with diverse perspectives, fostering an environment where inquiry, innovation, active participation, and self-reflection are encouraged. Recognizing that learning is not limited to the classroom, its work is structured to cross disciplinary boundaries, stimulate conversations, and nurture collaborations to enhance the intellectual life of campus.

Follow the Explorer Connection on Twitter @ExplorerCafe and continue our discussions.

Here are just a few of the ways in which The Explorer Connection puts its core elements into practice:

Diverse Campus-Wide Programming and The Explorer Café Series

The Explorer Connection sponsors and promotes interactive, intellectual programs on current social issues that are open to the entire La Salle community, such as: Explorer Cafes, panels, lectures, and film screenings.

One of our most popular activities is the Explorer Café series.  Click here to find out more about this semester’s Explorer Cafes.

The Explorer Connection also facilitates interdisciplinary conversations on timely issues.

Internal and External Community Partnerships

The Explorer Connection collaborates with University organizations, faculty, departments, and academic and student life programs.

Course Integration

The Explorer Connection encourages faculty and students to utilize The Explorer Connection and its partners as supplemental resources for teaching and learning; supports the infusion of mission-oriented themes into multiple disciplines and courses.

One specific resource faculty may choose to use is the La Salle Votes! Canvas site. The site includes activities on campus, educational materials for the classroom, and key dates. Click here to self-enroll.

Faculty/Staff Development Opportunities

The Explorer Connection provides venues for faculty and staff to share their research with one another and with the wider La Salle community; challenges faculty and staff to present their work in formats that are accessible to a wider audiences and varying levels of expertise.
